Change is comin'

Well, it's not as dramatic as the photo might hint, but after much thought, I'm changing the emphasis of my writing.

I've decided to focus on a passion of mine that I haven't spoken much about in this venue. That is figuring out how spirituality can work for freethinkers, agnostics, atheists, and other unorthodox skeptics and outsiders. To that end, I started League of Heretics as a Substack in September of 2023.

I've really gotten a lot out of writing what was first The Daily Hmm, which then became The Weekly Hmm. I had already added The Daily Ahh to my Substacking, which also became a weekly because I wanted to spend more time on League Of Heretics.

Posting The Daily Hmm taught me that I can have the discipline to write and publish every day. There were times that it was easier than other times, naturally, but I'm happy I proved to myself that I could be consistent. The main thing I loved about it was that I could write about anything that caught my attention, and lawd knows many things catch my attention.

I'd like to invite all subscribers to come join League of Heretics. If you're thinking that spirituality is not your thing, welcome! You're exactly the subscribers for which the League is intended. It will be serious and fun, challenging and relaxing. I'll also figure out how to add some "Ahh" moments. It’s published each Sunday night.
